The Youth Square or Qia Tongxue Shaonian Square (meaning "When We Were Young") started trail operations on January 23, 2025, after five months of renovation. 

The square and the Statue of Young Mao Zedong face each other across the Xiangjiang River. The square features various attractions, including cultural walls, a sightseeing corridor, a wharf, a railway station platform, a swimming memorial platform, a cultural gallery and other characteristic amenities.
