The Shaoshan Mao Zedong Memorial Museum is the only commemorative museum in China that systematically displays the late Chairman Mao Zedong's life deeds, thought, and personality. The museum houses 63,000 cultural relics, documents, and materials, including more than 6,400 items from Mao Zedong's life in his later years, with an exhibition area of 16,453 square meters. The museum is an excellent national demonstration base for patriotic education.
