Huaihua has established the Wuxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Park to transform its traditional craftsmanship into tangible and portable immersive experiences. The park integrates three functional areas: an intangible cultural heritage (ICH) sci-tech experience zone, an ICH research and study workshop, and an ICH plaza. This initiative represents a new model for ICH preservation and inheritance.

At the ICH sci-tech experience zone, 42 tangible and perceptible immersive ICH projects have been created using technologies such as digital spatial modeling, motion capture, VR, and AR. Here, visitors can not only try on traditional costumes of ethnic minorities with a simple click, but can also experience ICH skills like Dong silver ornaments making, Dong brocade weaving, traditional bow and crossbow crafting, and Wuxi paper-cutting through digital media.

At the ICH research and study workshop, experiential programs such as indigo dyeing, bamboo weaving, and pottery making are scheduled to be held on a regular basis. Visitors can not only watch demonstrations of these skills but also get a firsthand experience themselves.

The park serves not merely as a platform for static displays of ICH items, but as a cultural classroom where traditional craftsmanship blends with modern technology.

The Fifth Hunan Tourism Development Conference will be held in Huaihua from September 16 to 18. The park awaits you to explore the charm of the millennium-old culture.
