Themed "New Friends, Come to Hunan," the 2025 China (Changsha) Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference in Singapore took place on November 18. The event aimed to expand Changsha's inbound tourism market in Southeast Asia and enhance its international cultural influence.

Zhou Zhikai, vice mayor of the Changsha Municipal People's Government; Kong Yuan, director of the China Cultural Center in Singapore and director of the China National Tourist Office in Singapore; Wong Yew Hoong, chairman of outbound service of the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore; and, other guests attended the event and delivered speeches. Representatives from cultural and tourism departments, scenic spots, and enterprises of both regions gathered together, elevating the cultural and tourism cooperation between Changsha and Singapore to a new stage.

Through thematic presentations, an intangible cultural heritage exhibition, a cultural and tourism photo exhibition, and other formats, the event presented a comprehensive overview of Changsha's cultural and tourism resources. Centering on the theme of "Happy Changsha, Charming Star City," Changsha highlighted core cultural and tourism IPs such as the "Maritime Silk Road" culture of Tongguan Kiln, the immersive experience of HB Film Town, and the romantic journey of Liuyang fireworks, vividly presenting Changsha's diverse charm as a famous historical and cultural city and a modern metropolis.

At the event, the Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area launched a series of cultural and creative products. Wangcheng District displayed ceramic works from Tongguan Kiln, and Liuyang City presented specialty products integrating intangible cultural heritage and fireworks, precisely meeting the market demands of Singaporean families and tourists.

During the event, three representatives from Singapore's tourism industry shared their travel experiences in Changsha and proposed suggestions. The Changsha Travel Agency Association and the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore signed a strategic tourism cooperation agreement. Travel agency representatives from Changsha and Singapore reached a tourist exchange agreement, marking a substantive stage in bilateral cooperation.

The event coincided with the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore and is an important measure for Changsha to boost high-quality inbound tourism development. Changsha will take this promotion conference as an opportunity to continuously optimize international tourism services, deepen cooperation with Singapore in areas such as cultural and tourism marketing and tourist exchange, and help "Happy Changsha" become a desired destination for global tourists.
